Soccer Team Honors Late Teammate

Inevitably, it happens every game. The Lackawanna College women's soccer team takes the field, and moments later, the official comes over to coach Dan Berg to alert him that there are only 10 players.
That's when Berg explains that everything is OK, and that the Falcons start every game with 10 players as a tribute to their late teammate Sydney Fahrenbach and will substitute their 11th player into the game shortly after it begins.
On Aug. 1, Fahrenbach, a graduate of Western Wayne, was killed in an automobile accident.
