At Scranton, Pennsylvania, Brittany Nelson, Christina DiBartolomeo and Megan Campbell scored double-doubles in leading the Lackawanna College women’s team to a 74-63 win over Del Tech Stanton. Nelson led the threesome with twenty-six (26) points and sixteen (16) rebounds; Campbell had twelve (12) points and an equivalent number of rebounds; while DiBartolomeo scored ten (10) to go along with her eleven (11) rebounds.

At Carneys Point, New Jersey, Terika Turner's 18 points and Megan Campbell's 17 led the the Lackawanna College women's basketball team to a 65-45 Tuesday night win over Salem Community College. In beating the Oaks, Lackawanna improved their conference record to 8-2 and placed themselves within two games of clinching a spot in the Region XIX Division II Women's Basketball Tournament. Presently Lackawanna is in second place in the Region's standings. Overall the Lady Falcons have ten wins and four losses.

Saturday’s cancelled basketball doubleheader against Del-Tech Stanton has been rescheduled. It will now be played on Thursday, February 2nd at the Lackawanna College Student Union. The twin bill will start at 5:00 PM with a women’s contest between Lackawanna and Del-Tech. The men’s game between those institutions will be played at the conclusion of the women’s game.
