Lackawanna Wins at Essex CC

Newark, NJ, The Lackawanna College women's basketball team used a balance attack to beat Essex County College by a 58-45 score. Four Lady Falcons each scored in double figures, Terika Turner and Tamara Todd each scored 11 points, while Megan Campberll and Kayla Bailey both ended the night with 10.

Other notable performances included Todd's 10 rebounds, which with her 11 points gave her a double – double; Brittany Nelson's 10 rebounds; and Sabrina Coleman's 8 bench points.

Lackawanna is now 10-4 overall and has a 7-2 record in conference.

The Lady Falcons next take the court Saturday against Del-Tech Stanton. Saturday's game, which is the first game of Lackawanna's Cancer Awareness Basketball Doubleheader, is scheduled for 3:00 PM. This contest was originally scheduled for 1:00 PM, but was changed due to the expected inclement weather predicted for the Region XIX geographical area.
