Lackawanna Suffers Second Loss to ASA College
At Brooklyn, New York: Despite a 22 point effort by Terika Turner and a 10 rebound game by Brittany Nelson, the Lackawanna College women's basketball team fell to ASA College for the second time during the 2011-2012 season. Saturday's loss was by a 66-39 score. Lackawanna now has a 9-4 overall record and are 6-2 in conference.
The Lady Falcons have ten regular season games remaining, all against Region XIX Division II opponents. The first of those contests is scheduled for January 19th at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey (a 5:00 PM start). Of the remaining games, four, January 21st, January 31st, February 9th and February 11th, are scheduled to be played at Lackawanna College's Student Union. The Lady Falcon's need only win three of those remaining ten games to qualify for the Region XIX Division II Women's Basketball Tournament. However each victory over that qualifying number is important in determining their final seeding in those play-offs.
