Softball Players Honored at Spring Sports Banquet

The Lackawanna College Athletic Department held its annual spring banquet on Tuesday, May 3, 2010. The dinner honors the Most Valuable Players from each of its winter and spring sports programs, and players who have received Region XIX and NJCAA recognition. The highlight of the evening is the presentation of the annual awards honoring the academic and sportsmanship accomplishments of its student-athletes

This year's Most Valuable Player award for Softball was presented to Gabriel (Gabby) Ziller.

Ziller was also honored as the softball team's only All Region player. In addition, she was recognized as a Region Top Ten Player. By being named a Top Ten Player, Gabby will have her name submitted for All American Consideration.

The Margaret "Peg" Tobin Sportsmanship Award was conferred on Ginely Ortiz-Marrero.

The prestigious Sterling B. Seeley Award was presented to Kayla Joseph
