The Falcon Golf Team Claims the 2010 Region XIX Division II Championship and Earns Trip to National Tournament
On Monday, May 3rd, The Lackawanna College Falcons Golf Team finished its season by capturing the Pennsylvania - Delaware Cup in a match played at High Bridge Hills Golf Club, High Bridge, NJ. The team posted a round of 315.
The Falcon's golf team also claimed the 2010 Region XIX
Division II Championship. The team was honored with 4 players
selected to the All-Region team. Those golfers were Kevin
MacDonald, Dakota
Brown, Win Aukamp and
Lucas
Olivas
The team will be heading to Tucson, Arizona, for NJCAA Division
II National Tournament. The tournament is being held at the Palm
Valley Golf Course, May 18th through
22nd. This appearance will mark the third time in
four years the team competed in the National Tournament.
Coach Patrick Lloyd said “The team is excited to represent
Lackawanna College in the nationals. They have worked hard all
winter, working out and hitting balls, and their hard work has paid
off. It's great to see them rewarded.”
