Lackawanna College's Golf Team Wins Third Consecutive Tournament

The Lackawanna Falcons Men's Golf Team captured the its third consecutive tournament title this season by winning the Brookdale CC Invitational Tournament on Monday, April 19.  The win improves its season record to 25-0.

The Falcons posted a team score of 314 at Charleston Springs Golf Club in Millstone Twp., N.J.  The 314 total was good enough to take the title by two shots over Raritan Valley CC.

The Falcons placed all six golfers in the top 15 in the individual standings.  Kevin MacDonald (76) and Dakota Brown (77) finished in 2nd and 3rd place on the day.  Holy Cross graduates Bobby Reed shot 80, while Matt Lyons carded a round of 81 in his first match in nearly a year.  Win Aukamp (82) and Lucas Olivas (83) rounded out the team scores.

Coach Patrick Lloyd said “the tournament was a huge step in the right direction; with some small improvements hopefully we can make a push for nationals in May.” 

The team will compete next on April 26th in the Raritan Invitational Touranment at Highbridge Hills Golf Club, Highbridge, NJ.
