Golf Team Finishes First at Burlington Invitational

The Lackawanna Falcons Men's Golf team started the season off by capturing a title at its first tournament of the season. After a rain out in the Bergen Open, the Falcons competed against 12 other schools at Deerwood Country Club, in Mount Holly, N.J. where the team posted a 314, capturing the Burlington Invitational Tournament.

The Falcons placed four golfers in the top ten, including the individual tournament winner Kevin MacDonald who shot 73 on the day and runner up Cody Brown who carded a 74.

Coach Lloyd said of the win, "It's a great start to the season. It gave the team a lot of confidence to get a win in our first event of the season."

Next, Lackawanna will compete on April 12th in the Union Invitational at Ashbrook Golf Club in Union, N.J.
