Lackawanna’s Stevan Rodriguez named to NJCAA All-American Team

Scranton, PA – Tuesday afternoon the National Junior College Athletic Association announced their Men's Basketball Division II All-American Teams. Named to the Third Team was Lackawanna College's starting forward, Stevan Rodriguez. With the announcement, Rodriguez became the first Lackawanna men's basketball player to be so honored since 2010.

Previously this year Rodriguez was named to the Region XIX Division II All Region First Team and was recognized by the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference as its Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Year.

Rodriguez garnished these honors by leading the Falcons in scoring with 438 points and rebounds with 267. He also had 33 blocks and 27 assists.

With this honor, Rodriguez becomes the eighth Falcon to receive All-American recognition since 2000. The last Lackawanna player so honored was Shedrick Haynes., a second team selection, after the 2009-2010 season.
