Falcons see Season come to an end in Semifinals

Scranton, PA – Despite a 22-point effort by Keyon Faulkner-Smith and a 20-point game by Jonathan Williams, the Lackawanna College Men's Basketball had their season come to an end at hands of SUNY Ulster with an 92 86 loss in the Region XIX/District 12 Semifinals. The loss eliminated the Falcons from post-season play and left them with an overall win/loss record of 24-5.

In addition to Faulkner-Smith and Williams, Ransford Agyeman, Javonty Pipkin and Stevan Rodriguez contributed double digit scoring performances. Agyeman had 15 points, while Pipkin and Rodriguez each netted 11. Pipkin combined his 11 points with 10 assists to give him a double-double for the contest. Leading rebounders for Lackawanna were Faulkner-Smith and Williams, both of whom had 9.

In the second game of the evening, County College of Morris beat Raritan Valley Community College 91-80 to move into the Championship game against SUNY – Ulster. That contest will be played tomorrow at 5:00 PM at the Lackawanna Student Union, with the winner moving on to the NJCAA Men's DII Nationals as the District 12 representative.
