Lackawanna finishes Conference Play with a Win

Pemberton, NJ – Thursday night, the Lackawanna College Men's Basketball team completed their 2017-18 Region XIX Division II play with 73-70 win at Rowan College at Burlington College. With 13 seconds left in the game, the score was tied at 70-70 when Khristian Gill contributed a go-ahead dunk and Javontay Pipkin hit one of two foul shots after a subsequent Lackawanna stop.

With the victory, Lackawanna finished in first place in the Region XIX Division II standings with a conference win/loss record of 15-1. The Falcons now have a 23-4 overall record and are ranked 11th nationally in the most recent NJCAA Division II poll.

The Falcons were led by J'von Winslow, who scored a team high points 15 points. Also contributing to the victory with double digit nights were Keyon Faulkner-Smith with 14 points, Khristian Gill with 12 and Jonathan Williams with 11. Williams just missed a double-double after grabbing a team best 9 rebounds. Pipkin led the team in assists with 9.

Lackawanna completes their regular season on Thursday, March 1st, when they host Cecil College at the Student Union, Thursday's game is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start.
