Lackawanna Men Clinch Playoff Berth
At Scranton Pennsylvania, the Lackawanna College Men’s basketball team clinched a berth in the Region XIX DII Men’s Basketball Tournament by beating County College of Morris 86-81. The Falcons trailed at half time 42-39 and allowed Morris to build a 9 point lead with 7:30 left in the contest. It was at that point that the Falcons went on a 12-6 run to put them two points behind the Titans. With 2:26 left, Khalid Viera hit a three pointer to complete the Falcon’s comeback by not only erasing that two point deficit but giving them a 77-75 lead. Lackawanna defended that lead for the rest of the contest.
