Falcons’ Haynes Named Second Team All-American

Lackawanna College's men's basketball player Shedrick Haynes has been named an NJCAA Division II Second Team All-American.

Previously, Haynes was named to the Region XIX Division I-II First Team. He received the most votes of any Division II player named to this team.

He finished the season with 572 points, a 19.1 point per game average, 199 rebounds, 76 assists and 40 steals.

Haynes becomes the seventh Falcon to receive All-American recognition since 2000. The last time a Lackawanna player was recognized was last year when Marcus Ashton was also named a Second Team All-American. The only First Team All-American recipient was Adam Gonzalez in 2003. Gonzalez was also named National Player of the Year.

Haynes has committed to play in the Big East next season at the University of South Florida.
