Lackawanna’s National Signing Day Commitments

The Lackawanna College Athletic Department is honored to announce that three members of its football team signed a National Letter of Intent committing them the NCAA institution at which they will continue their academic and athletic careers. Those players making this commitment were Mark Glowinski, Bernardo Nunez and Lorenzo Taliaferro.

Glowinski, a graduate of GAR Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, will be attending West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia. While at Lackawanna, Glowinski played offensive tackles and was praised by head coach, Mark Duda, on numerous occasions as one of the best offensive lineman to play at the school. In this past season, he was named to the Northeast Football Conference First Team and the NJCAA All American Second Team. At Morgantown, Glowinski will be joining former teammate Josh Francis, who transferred to West Virginia after he finished his playing days at Lackawanna.

At Lackawanna, Nunez was a defensive end who made forty-three (43) tackles; seventeen (17) of which were for losses. Nine (9) of those seventeen tackles for losses were sacks. In addition to his conference honors, Nunez was named by the NJCAA to its All American Team as a First Team Defensive Lineman. Nunez has elected to attend the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts.
