For the third year, the Lackawanna College baseball team and the Graham Academy will conduct its annual free baseball clinic for autism and special needs community, ages five (5) through seventeen (17). This event will be on held on Saturday, February 4th at the Graham Academy’s Luzerne Campus, 469 Miller Street, Luzerne, Pennsylvania. It will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

When Chris Pensak took over as head coach of the Lackawanna College baseball team, he set three goals; win a Region XIX Baseball Championship for Lackawanna College; have a player drafted in the annual Major League Baseball Draft; and finally, but most importantly, have his student athletes transfer on to NCAA Division I programs. He accomplished all his goals but especially his desire to have his players transfer into colleges and universities to continue their education while still playing ball.

Lackawanna College’s baseball team will conduct its 4th annual “Scout Day” on Monday, September 19th at County Field, Moscow, Pennsylvania. This event allows Scouts from Major League Baseball and Coaches from Division I and Division II schools to evaluate the talent and skill level of the players on the Falcons’ roster.

For the third consecutive year, a player having Lackawanna College baseball ties has been selected in Major League Baseball’s annual draft. This year the St Louis Cardinals used a twenty first round selection to claim Chris Kirsch.
