    The Lackawanna Falcons fell to Pasco-Hernando State College 11-10 in round 1 of the NJCAA DII World Series. Lackawanna will play tomorrow (5/26/19) at 11:00 am, and they will square off against the loser of Kellogg CC vs Northern Oklahoma-Enid.

    The Lackawanna Falcons and Frederick CC split the first day of the NJCAA Northeast Championship. Lackawanna came away with a 7-0 victory in game one and Frederick CC got their revenge in game two as they won 19-5.

    Lackawanna College would like to congratulate Thylar Summarell, Jerry Reinhart, and Zac Granger on being named to the NJCAA Region XIX Baseball All-Region First Team. Lackawanna would also like to congratulate Nathan McLain and David Williams on being named to the NJCAA Region XIX Baseball All-Region Second Team. The Falcons put together an incredible year, finishing 27-14 (11-3) and earned themselves a spot in the Region XIX Playoffs.
  • Lackawanna to play in Region XIX Title Contest

    West Windsor, NJ – With wins over Mercer County Community College and County College of Morris on Friday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Baseball team qualified for the Championship game(s) in the Region XIX Division II Baseball Tournament. In the 10:00 contest, Lackawanna outscored Mercer by a score of 6-3 and then claimed the 2:00 game by a score of 10-4. The Falcons impressed by taking a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning in the initial game and never trailing the rest of the day.

    The Lackawanna Falcons played their last games of the 2019 regular season on Saturday against Cumberland County College. They lost game one 9-8 and won game two 10-2. Their record now stands at 27-14 (7-3). The next stop for the Falcons will be the NJCAA Region XIX Baseball Tournament next weekend.

  • Falcons complete Conference Schedule with Sweep of Lehigh Carbon.

    Scranton, PA – Monday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Baseball team ended their Region XIX Division II schedule with a doubleheader sweep of Lehigh Carbon Community College. The Falcons took both games of the twin-bill by scores of 7-3 and 12-3. The sweep was important to Lackawanna since it clinched the third-place seed in the upcoming Region XIX Division II Baseball Tournament and eliminated Lehigh Carbon from qualifying for that tourney. If the Cougars had qualified, Lackawanna would have had to play them in a best of three play in series. As it now stands, Falcons receives a bye into the tournament’s semi-final.
  • Lackawanna Sweeps Conference Doubleheader

    Pemberton NJ – Saturday afternoon, the Lackawanna College Baseball team improved their conference win/loss record to 9-3 with a doubleheader sweep of Rowan College at Burlington County. The Falcons won game one 4-0 on a Nate McLain complete game shutout and the nightcap 2-0 on a combined shutout by Grant Powell and Dominic Verrastro.
  • Falcons Sweep Raritan Valley to Clinch a Spot in Region Tournament

    Moosic, PA – Saturday was a special day for the Lackawanna College Baseball team. They played their annual doubleheader at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders, where they swept a Region XIX Division II twin bill against Raritan Valley Community College. Winning the opener 10-1 and taking the nightcap 18-1. The Sweep guaranteed the Falcons a .500 conference record and a spot in the Region XIX Division II Baseball Tournament. Their seed in that tournament being determined next weekend when they play Lehigh – Carbon Community College at home on Friday and at Rowan College at Burlington County on Saturday.
