Falcons Beat Lakeland CC, Southern Maryland

The Falcons’ baseball team rebounded from their loss to Iowa Central to post wins against Lakeland CC 11-7 and Southern Maryland, 12-4.

In the first contest, Evan Robaczewski pitched 6 1/3 innings, scattering four hits giving up 3 runs for the win.

At the plate, Carlos Pichardo, Eric Hink, and Matt Accardi all went 3-4. Steve Aniska clubbed a two-run homer and had 3 RBIs.

In the late game, Cody Patton entered the contest in relief with the Falcons losing 4-0. He gained a win by holding Southern Maryland to 2 hits while striking out 5 as the Falcons scored 12 unanswered runs

Leading the Lackawanna hitters in the comeback were Eric Hink who was 3-4 and a home run, Matt Mortell 2-3, John Peluso 2-3 and Steve Aniska 2-2.
